SWOT analysis

My SWOT analysis is as follows:

Strengths:

1, Having a artwork style developed throughout the degree will help to seamlessly continue to make the basic illustrations easy to develop into finished pieces.

2, Having a project plan which is achievable and manageable, learning from my other units to manage expectations.

3, Having most of the artwork completed, illustrations painted and digital files created, ready to pull together to create the finished spreads.

4, Learning from the illustration agent from the last unit to know what compositions and artwork elements to add to create a more commercial book.

5, Having all the software and computers, Adobe, Procreate, Illustrator and Photoshop, Cameras, paints and mixed media art and craft items, which I have built up over my degree time, so I have everything to hand to create my last final major project, being organised and ready to achieve this book.

Weaknesses:

1, Time – I have a new day job and they are currently short staffed, so as I am new I feel obligated to do overtime to help them out, I have said this can only be until the end of July, so I can get back on track in August.

2, I need to re-create some of the characters so they look a bit younger, I have already completed Rory, which I did in my last unit, I still need to do the characters Thomaz, Grace, Jade and Jaya. So they all look in keeping with the age range of the book and also with Rory, so his friends match.

Objectives:

1, Work on characters Elsie, Grace, Thomaz, Jaya and Jade, get them to have natural poses.

2, Work on a few pages that need different compositions I.E. the last two pages of the book.

3, Work on more detail and backgrounds, adding texture and different scales of objects.

4, Front cover changes: twinkles change to stars for a better style.

5, Synopsis research.

Threats:

1, Time management due to work commitments and a ill relative.

2, Too much written work needed from tutor, my aim is to concentrate on the artwork.

3, Wi-Fi issues in the area.
