Reflective commentary

  1. Produce a reflective commentary that summarises your progress to date and reflects on how your personal or mission statement is progressing. Please consider:
    • Does your statement succinctly communicate your intentions for your work and your ideas from your critical review or dissertation?
  2. How is your Major Project progressing, what are the areas you need to develop to meet your deadlines? 
  3. What stage are you at with your ideas for your showcase, what support do you need?

My progress so far is good and steady, there are quiet a few points of art work which I need to return to either to add more elements to, or to just check with the rest of the book and pages once complete, so the overall look works well together. I do have enough time set aside at the end of the unit to complete these tasks at present.
Just at this moment in time I am suffering from a trapped nerve in my neck, so I am finding it difficult to concentrate and things are going very slow at present.
I have just completed my first draft of my personal statement, and I think it works very well and is extremely cohesive with my critical review, my book and my work so far to date.

I am currently just focusing as much time as I can on the art work at present, but I would like to complete some research on a few of the illustrators my tutor has suggested, plus some work on typography and fonts, plus placements. Also I would like to complete more work on my presentation ideas for my final project work. I am on track with the unit so far, but I don’t know how long my trapped nerve will last and how it will impact my work going forward. If needed I can adjust the time scale to complete these tasks and unit into next spring if necessary, but I am hoping things will get back to normal soon.

I am still at the ideas stage of my presentation work, my thoughts have been on the artwork so far, but I am thinking to showcase and put it on my website, I think this will work with my plans going forward, and with the time constraints I have.
