So I took the illustration back a few points on the IPad to start to look at the composition and also some of the digital elements I added before which I want to change.
I added in the drawing assist squares to see if this helped with what composition was best, and also what would be best to take out and re-do.
I took out the front garden grass, path and some of the plants and trees etc. this got it back to a point I was happy with.
Now the main focus of the spread is to show Rory at the window looking out and seeing Floras stars and a bright light, enough for him to be intrigued to investigate what it is.
This is the part of the composition I have zoomed in on, I have taken most of the house to the left out, and half of the house to the right out. I have brought top down more to the top of the house, this focus in on Rory’s house and the part of the garden dip in front.
I like this composition so will sit with this for a while, then work on a few more plants or textures for the front garden, and maybe a brighter spot near Floras stars to highlight those more.
