Feedback from project 6

This style of working using traditional media interlaced with Procreate and digital brushes and then surface pattern is the way I work and is my style, so yes this will be the way forward for my work.

Yes I do scan my watercolour work into the computer then airdrop to Procreate, this helps me to layer the work and give depth to the illustrations. I use Photoshop PSD layers and also work in Illustrator for my surface pattern technical repeat patterns.

The first piece I was working on wasn’t finished, I have completed it in this project (7), but I still might return to it later once I’ve come back with fresh eyes, just in case there’s anything else I want to add.

I have added a basic bullet point for the critical review in this project (7), I am in the processing of thinking what order to place the work to summarise it for the final write up, so I may write a more in-depth bullet point system.

Yes I will check all grammar and spellings and typos for assessment, I’m eager to get the work down as I thinking it, so I know there are some mistakes to rectify.

I will add some of the skills from the skills audit into my website, I have an ‘About page’ so I thought this would be appropriate on there.

I have competed thumbnails for all the pages in the book from unit 3.1 and also used the grid system in InDesign, as well as worked with a page layout system like the one you added as a link in the feedback. For the 4 pieces I am working on in this unit, I am happy so far with the compositions, as 3 are spot compositions they are different to the full page and 1/2 page spreads in the book, so I feel they don’t need changing.
But in the next unit, when I am going to work on changing a few of the pages towards the back of the book, I will use thumbnails to re-look at the compositions, and use InDesign to add in all the new illustrations and artwork so I can see how it looks all together, and does it flow well.

Next project will be submitted on 28/03/2025
